The tournament is a star event for many basketball fans and is popular among youths who are into the sport within the peninsular.
To get the ball rolling, the first game will start at 8am as the players duke it out on nine specially set up courts in the open space of the shopping centre.
The main event will have the teams duking it out 3-on-3 at the round-robin stage before the semi-final knockout stage for the cash prizes of RM900m RM600 and RM300.
Players will want to keep an eye and ear out for the highlight event announcements made throughout the day for players to register and places will be limited for each event.
The highlight events will start off with the best shooter competition and the slam dunk competition where the top two dunkers will receive trophies courtesy of StarMetro.
Following that is the crowd favourite “In search of streetballer” competition where individuals will get to demonstrate their freestyle skills in front of current AND1 streetballers and event sponsors.
A separate round in search for the best streetballer will be held in one-on-one fashion, the top streetballers will get to appear during the last leg in November.
Also on the agenda as one of the most crowd-pleasing events is the the slam-dunk competition on the highlight event court.
A free throw competition be be thrown in for good measure and exclusive AND1, Milo and Spalding merchandise will be up for grabs.
The Malaysian Amateur Basketball Association (MABA) sanctioned event means that the boys and girls will be playing under the watchful eyes of referees and officials from MABA.
