JOHOR BARU: Student Shao Xian was among the participants at the coaching clinic held at the Foon Yew High School recently.
The coaching clinic was organised by Ossia World of Golf as part of the promotional activities for the second leg of the AND1 3 on 3 Streetball Challenge at Danga Bay, Johor Baru on May 16.
Professional basketball coaches - the Philippines’ Paul Daniel Advincula, Malaysian Tan Kee Hian and Nigerian Ahmad Tenitope - were present to share their experience with the participants.

Advincula, the head coach of Malaysia Basketball Academy in Klang, explained to the participants on the importance of mastering the basic skills - dribbling, shooting and passing - involved in basketball. The participants were also given the chance to go one on one against the towering Tenitope, who is 2.03m tall.
The 16-year-old Shao Xian said he had fun at the clinic.
